Running in Winter

Snow is in the air and the trick to preparing for the Boston Marathon is conditioning in these poor weather conditions.

Here are a few tips I learned over the course of the past year to help with cold weather training:

1) Wear Layers

2) Hat & Gloves are a must

3) No Cotton socks

4) Still need to drink fluids and replace calories if on a long run

5) Apply Sunscreen

6) Utilize reflective clothing in early or late runs

7) Cut back on those New Years drinks :)

I am still a little under the weather so no running today. Hopefully, I feel better for a Saturday 10 mile run.

Be safe out there tonight!!
